Critical Ass?

Last Saturday’s show at Mother Fool’s was one of our best. Loose & happy, small crowd, low pressure. A laid back after party at the Weary was the perfect night cap. Or, was it? We were busily unloading the Vanagon on Rutledge Street when I noticed a cyclist rounding the block. Then another…and another. About ten cyclists whirring up the road toward us at this hour? They seemed to be wearing the same outfit as well. Strange! I squinted to focus better…Hmmmm……

……WELL RIGHT ON MAN! Ten naked cyclists stealthily biking up Rutledge. Cracks & boobies, boobies & cracks, cracks & boobies! I went inside, dropped what I was carrying to see Robin in the house. “You missed it!” I exclaimed as I explained what just happened. Robin looked truly disappointed. We all began unloading again……

……WHAT LUCK! Here they come again. Cracks & boobies, boobies & cracks, cracks & boobies! This time, we all saw them.

……THIS TOWN ROCKS!!!

Hot in the City

Dear Billy,

I was heartened to hear the news that you had returned from anonymity to release your first album in 12 years. Fond memories came flooding back to me of an angry young leather-clad, platinum blonde rebel – punching and sneering, sneering and punching. You seemed to scream "Take me seriously or I’m gonna jump out of this Television and beat yer ter a pulp as I sneer and writhe in a sexually suggestive way." Ah, we all felt your pain.

And now you are touring. Fantastic! Pass the peroxide kids, let’s show ‘em how it’s done! Alas, your stop at the Rave (Saturday, September 17th) is on the same day as the Motor Primitives appearance with Josh Harty at Mother Fool’s. Maybe your people didn’t realize how close Madison is to Milwaukee. Maybe they didn’t realize that we draw the same crowd. I’m sure it was just an oversight by your booking agent. Either way, what’s done is done. But, let’s get our people together for a chat so that this doesn’t happen again. America’s a big country with plenty of room for all of us.

Rock on Bra!

Pam

PS- If your show gets done early enough, why not hit the highway bound for Madison and we’ll have a little after party at the Weary? You have my cell#
